Bram Weinstein & Ampire Media Team up With The MoCoShow

Bram Weinstein always knew that he wanted to be a broadcaster. The MoCo native is best known as the current voice of the Washington Football Team, the host of “The Bram Weinstein Show” weekdays on ESPN 630 DC, and from his years behind the desk on Sportscenter.

Bram grew up in Silver Spring and graduated from Springbrook High School, where he was the sports editor of the high school newspaper and the PA announcer for the basketball games. His parents are native Washingtonians, so like many of us, Sundays were about DC football in his household.

In addition to his own broadcasting roles with the WFT and ESPN radio, Bram also helps creators and businesses develop podcasts through his own podcasting network, Ampire.

Weinstein founded Ampire Media two and a half years ago with the goal of building a new platform of podcast/streaming for local sports. Right now, the emphasis is on the DMV and mid-Atlantic sports teams, but he does not rule out eventually expanding what they cover.

Bram tells us that, “community matters most to me as I build Ampire. I want to work with businesses to help grow our known and unknown talent. We are proud to be from here and want to continue to carry the flag for DMV and specifically MoCo sports.”

Bram is a part owner of ExPat Hospitality, which is a group looking to build modern sports bars in the region. He tells us, “Our first locations will be in Washington DC, but we are going to look to expand into Maryland and specifically Montgomery County after sports gambling opens up in the state.”

In addition to Ampire, Bram also co owns Reel media Group which consults local news stations, talent and executives across the country.  Bram is a consultant on a variety of sports start-ups in the gaming and modern media spaces.

Today Bram lives with his wife, two kids, and one dog in Bethesda. There’s a good chance you might find him on the weekends using the paddle boats at Rio, or eating at Uncle Julio’s.

The MoCoShow looks forward to partnering with Bram and Ampire in the months to come. Stay tuned for more details.
