
An overturned tractor-trailer caused several lanes to be closed on the outer loop of 495 between Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Rd around 1am Sunday morning.
According to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer, MCFRS HazMat assisted in cleaning up the diesel fuel that leaked from the truck’s tanks.

BTW – The tractor trailer (TT) involved in the incident this morning on the beltway I495 near Exit 36 Old Georgetown Rd was carrying paper products (cargo), none of which spilled, @mcfrs HazMat assisted w/ a fuel spill from the truck diesel saddle tanks
