Montgomery Parks to Host Virtual Community Meeting on Proposed Dog Park at Willard Avenue Neighborhood Park

Montgomery Parks, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, invites the public to participate in a virtual community meeting to discuss the development of a proposed dog park at Willard Avenue Neighborhood Park. The meeting will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Montgomery Parks staff will present information about the proposed dog park and encourage input and questions from meeting attendees.

About the Proposed Project:

The intent of the project is to develop a dog park, enhance the park entrance with better visibility and pedestrian access trails, and tell the history of the park. Willard Avenue Neighborhood Park was originally acquired by M-NCPPC in 1977. The five-acre park is nestled within the Little Falls Stream Branch and contains a playground, half basketball court, and exercise equipment along the main trail. Information about the project can be found at MoCoParks.org/WANP-DogPark.
