One Person Dead After Possible Assault Early Saturday Morning

Montgomery County Police are conducting a death investigation after responding to an incident in the 800 block of University Boulevard E. in Silver Spring.  According to MCPD, “On Saturday, June 10, 2023, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue Personnel responded to the location for the report of a possible assault. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from trauma to his body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Washington, D.C., will conduct an autopsy to officially determine the cause and manner of the death.    This is an active and ongoing investigation.” University Blvd East was closed for several hours due to the investigation but has since reopened. We will post an update if additional information becomes available.
