According to the Maryland Cannabis Administration, cannabis sales in Maryland from Saturday, July 1 to Friday, July 7 were $20.9 million. $4,518,377 of these sales were made on Saturday, July 1, the day recreational cannabis sales became legal in the state. These totals include both medical and recreational sales. Any resident over the age of 21 with a valid government ID is now legally allowed to purchase and possess cannabis products from registered dispensaries in Maryland.
