A father of three who spends hours on the road every day making his living as a contractor for a ridesharing company, made a lucky stop to fuel up at a 7-Eleven in Silver Spring.

The loyal scratch-off and Powerballplayer stepped inside 7-Eleven #32389 located at 7980 Georgia Avenue and added a $100,000 Lucky scratch-off to his gas purchase. The Washington, D.C. resident played the $30 instant ticket in the Montgomery County store and was astonished to see he won the game’s $100,000 top prize!

“I put it in my pocket and I left, acting normal,” said the happy winner. He kept the scratch-off safe in his pocket all day while picking up and dropping off passengers until he could get home and show it to his wife. The pair haven’t decided yet about their plans for the prize, said the 42-year-old.

For its role in the sale of a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, the 7-Eleven store will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery. Featured image courtesy of Google Maps.
