24-Year-Old Rockville Man Dies After Collision in Anne Arundel County

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Jason Jose Solano, 24, of Rockville, and Christian Alvarado, 27, of Lanham, MD, died after the vehicle they were in crashed into a into a utility poll on Sunday morning in Shady Side, MD.

“On November 12, 2023, at approximately 11:10 a.m., officers responded for a motor vehicle crash on Shady Side Road at Deep Cove Road in Shady Side. The investigation revealed a 2022 Toyota Rav4 was traveling eastbound on Shady Side Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road into a drainage ditch, striking a fence and a BGE pole. The driver and passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.”
