UPS Store Coming to Montgomery Village; Additional Montgomery Village Center News

According to KLNB, The UPS Store is coming to 19226 Montgomery Village Ave, next to Kobe Japan in the Montgomery Village Center. UPS stores are “locally owned and operated, and offer a variety of packing, shipping, freight, postal, printing and business services, with convenient locations and world-class service.” No opening date has been announced.
Last week, Baskin Robbins opened its long awaited Montgomery Village location. The ice cream shop is located next to Suburban Hair and the upcoming Safe Splash Swim School. The store is currently offering Baskin Robbins newest flavor, “Turkey Day Fixin’s”, a “surprising combination of sweet potato and autumn spice ice creams mixed with honey cornbread pieces and swirls of Ocean Spray cranberry sauce.”

Permanent signage is up for Fiesta Laundromat, which will be located across from Baskin Robins, next to Boo Boo Pho. “At Fiesta Laundromat, we take immense pride in our work, whether we are working with large-scale corporate clients, individual laundry clients or our walk-in customers. Take a look around our website and learn more about the variety of laundry services we offer.” No opening date has been announced but the location is currently hiring. Fiesta has an additional location at 7601 New Hampshire Ave in Takoma Park.

Moe’s Southwest Grill is available for sale according to a business listing, although the restaurant’s owners have told us there are no plans to close the location and that the restaurant is “looking for a capital partner to help grow.” Moe’s was founded in 2000 and based in Atlanta, GA, and has an extensive variety of menu items to from burritos to specialty items like quesadillas, nachos and stacks. Many residents may remember that Moe’s previously had MoCo location at the Potomac Valley shopping center in Gaithersburg, in Rockville Town Square (where Finnegan’s Wake is now located), Silver Spring on Tech Rd (where Qdoba is now located), and in the Wheaton Mall food court.
