The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad and Kensington Volunteer Fire Department responded to an appliance fire on Thornwood Rd in Kensington on Tuesday, November 14.
According to @BCCRS on Twitter, “RS741 arrived with PE705 to find smoke from a 2-story home. One pet cat rescued by Battalion Chief 704 without injury. Working smoke detectors alerted the homeowner, who exited without injury.” We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
