‘Garden of Lights’ Suspended Friday Night After Nearby Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle

Garden of Lights was suspended Friday night due to police activity around Brookside Gardens (1800 Glenallan Ave, Wheaton.)


According to Montgomery County Police, a pursuit of a stolen vehicle began at Georgia Avenue and Randolph Road at approximately 5:33 p.m. Three suspects bailed from the vehicle in the area of Brookside Gardens and police set up a perimeter to search for the suspects.

Montgomery Parks tweeted the following at 6:26pm: “Tonight’s showing of Brookside Gardens’ Garden of Lights has been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience and all tickets will be refunded. Those wishing to purchase new tickets can do so via EventBrite and by visiting https://t.co/GOtV3WX5X2

The suspects remain outstanding. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
