1. Indoor Makers Market

Join The MoCo Show this Saturday at 12:30pm for a Tacky Sweater Holiday Party in the Jingle Lounge at Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) in Bethesda! We’ll be popping up at the event and handing out giveaways. The event includes:

3. Casey’s Cocoa with the Clauses
Saturday, December 9th: 9:30am-3:30pm
810 South Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg
“Ho Ho Ho! Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Casey! Visit with him and Mrs. Claus during this holly jolly holiday event. Enjoy making some festive themed crafts, visit our hot cocoa bar to make your own special cup, write a letter to Santa, play some reindeer games, and have a visit with the always merry Mrs. Claus. Then you will be escorted to see the big man himself, Santa! This is a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays, take some great family photos, and see the famous couple from the North Pole.

4. Kentlands Market Square Holiday Kickoff
Saturday, December 9th: 11am-3pm
40 Market St, Gaithersburg
The event will feature a dj, crafts, selfies with Santa, and a scavenger hunt involving the shops at Kentlands Market Square. This event will be the winter edition of previous events like the Kentlands Under The Lights, and Fall Festival. The Kentlands Community Foundation will hold its annual Kentlands Tree & Menorah Lighting on Wednesday, December 6.

5. Light Up the Lakefront
Saturday, December 9th: 4-7pm
Rio Boardwalk
The festive evening of holiday fun on the Lakefront with activities along the Boardwalk (near Guapo’s/Charley Prime) and Fire Lounge (between TFK & Uncle Julio’s). There will be a DJ and music at the Boardwalk Stage along with Strolling Entertainment and Festive Photo Ops. The Adventist Health Care Shady Grove Medical Center and Georgetown Hill Early School will also have holiday goodies.

At 6:45pm, there will be a dazzling Fireworks show over the lake, which can be seen all along the Boardwalk and Fire Lounge. Please note: The playground and portion of the lake path will close prior to the fireworks display. Parking is free and plentiful at rio and here are some ideas of where you can park.
