After nine seasons on NBC, The Office ran its final episode on May 16, 2013. Even though it’s been ten years since the series ended, the show is still viewed by millions each week through syndication and the Peacock streaming app.
To this day, fans are still uncovering hidden “Easter eggs” and facts about the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
Earlier this week, TikTok user @noproblemgambler, who is known for researching specific sports games that appear in quick snippets on television shows and movies, uploaded a video where he was asked to find out what baseball game played in the background during The Office’s series finale.
After months of research, @noproblemgambler discovered that it was an April 15, 2008 Division III junior college game between the Montgomery College Germantown Gryphons and the Montgomery County Rockville Knights. The Gryphons won 6-4 and the full game can be viewed on YouTube.
Sam Bender, who was a member of the Germantown team, tells us it was a fun/special group and that he never imagined they would make it on The Office.
@noproblemgambler Replying to @kurtisflo This is the most blind research i have ever done in a video #baseball #ncaa
