New and Coming Soon to Montgomery Village (December 2023)

Below is a list of businesses that are new or coming soon to the Montgomery Village Shopping Center:Coming Soon: SafeSplash Swim School
Construction has recently begun at the upcoming SafeSplash Swim School, which will be located behind Suburban Hair and Linda’s Nails in Montgomery Village Shopping Center. This will be SafeSplash Swim School’s second Montgomery County location after opening the area’s first SafeSplash facility within LA Fitness on Rockville Pike. SafeSplash typically offers learn-to-swim lessons to children as young as six months of age. No prior swimming experience is needed. Adult and adaptive lessons are typically offered as well. Various class levels are offered to suit different swimming abilities. Per SafeSplash, “Students are taught in small classes (no larger than 4 students to 1 instructor), by experienced and passionate instructors. SafeSplash uses a proven, proprietary instruction method that has been tested and refined over the company’s history, across 10 years and over 4 million swim lessons.”

Now Open: Baskin Robins
Baskin Robbins is now open in the Montgomery Village Center. The ice cream shop is located next to Suburban Hair and the upcoming Safe Splash Swim School.

Coming Soon: The UPS Store
According to KLNB, The UPS Store is coming to 19226 Montgomery Village Ave, next to Kobe Japan in the Montgomery Village Center. UPS stores are “locally owned and operated, and offer a variety of packing, shipping, freight, postal, printing and business services, with convenient locations and world-class service.” No opening date has been announced.

Now Open: Fiesta Laundromat
Fiesta Laundromat is now open in the Montgomery Village Center next to Boo Boo Pho and across from the MV Animal Hospital. “At Fiesta Laundromat, we take immense pride in our work, whether we are working with large-scale corporate clients, individual laundry clients or our walk-in customers. Take a look around our website and learn more about the variety of laundry services we offer.”  No opening date has been announced but the location is currently hiring. Fiesta has an additional location at 7601 New Hampshire Ave in Takoma Park.

Recently Opened: Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings 
Hangry Joe’s opened on September 24.  The Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant is located adjacent to the Starbuck’s at 19290 Montgomery Village Ave.  Hangry Joe’s in known for its hot chicken sandwiches, known as the “Chicken Sando”, and allows guests to choose the spice level of the fried chicken (Plain<Mild<Medium<Hot<Angry Hot). The menu also consists of chicken fingers, chicken & waffles, wraps, nuggets, loaded fries, and salads. Sides include cider slaw, waffle fries, and fried okra. The restaurant is currently hiring and hopes to open by the end of this month.

Recently Opened: Antojitos Salvadorenos Isabel
Antojitos Salvadoreños Isabel at 19114 Montgomery Village Ave (formerly Einstein Bagel Bros) opened on August 25. The restaurant serves traditional Salvadorian dishes like pupusas, tamales, yuca con chicharron, and pastelitos (full menu can be seen here.) Einstein Bros closed its Montgomery Village store in December 2021. La Poteria, which sells Colombian street food and coffee, is located next door.
