Update on Brio’s Chicken at Montgomery Mall

In November, we reported that Brio’s Chicken will be opening in the space previously occupied by Tara Thai at Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) in Bethesda.

We’re told that construction is currently ongoing and the restaurant is planning to open on February 1st. Menu items at Brio’s will include Peruvian charbroiled chicken, empanadas, paninis, steaks, and seafood. Brio’s plans to be open daily from 8am-9pm and will offer Sunday brunch.

Brio’s Chicken was scheduled to open a location in the Kentlands but after several years of delays and issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant never materialized.  Brio’s Chicken previously had a location in Aspen Hill in the Aspen Manor shopping center, where Outback is located, but that location is under new ownership and is now known as Gio’s Chicken.
