Update: All lanes now open on New Hampshire Avenue (MD-650) near Overlook Drive.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the 10300blk New Hampshire Ave, near Overlook Dr, in Hillandale on Friday, January 12 for the report of a house fire.
Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer reports that the fire has been extinguished and four occupants/residents have been displaced. There were no injuries.
According to the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, “Traffic incident blocks all northbound and southbound lanes on New Hampshire Avenue (MD-650) near Overlook Drive. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
