On Sunday morning, former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced he will be endorsing former UN Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in the upcoming presidential election.
Hogan made the announcement while appearing on CNN’s State of the Union (video below).
Last week is was reported that Hogan had stepped down in December from his leadership position at the third-party No Labels group, which prompted speculation that he would be entering the presidential race.
Hogan tweeted, “Since I decided not to run for president, I’ve been saying that we don’t want to see a multi-car pile-up that would just enable Donald Trump. We want to have the strongest possible nominee in November, and that’s @NikkiHaley. It’s time for the party to get behind her so we can put forth our best candidate.”
