Per Westfield Montgomery: Westfield Montgomery is celebrating the Lunar New Year on February 10, marking the year of the dragon with celebrations hosted in partnership with the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center, a nonprofit organization serving Montgomery County’s diverse Chinese American community and celebrating its vibrant culture for more than 40 years.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant festivities as we bring you a thrilling dragon-lion dance, artistic demonstrations, electrifying live performances, and captivating traditional dances during a day of activities that will delight families of all backgrounds and cultures. Along with the performances, the center has been adorned with festive decorations marking this ancient traditional holiday.

  • Parade: before the performance kicks off, enjoy a parade through the center with traditional drums.
  • Dragon Lion Dance: Marvel at the mesmerizing dance of the mythical dragons and lions, bringing good luck and fortune for the upcoming year.
  • Traditional Dances: Experience the elegance and grace of traditional dances that showcase the beauty of our diverse heritage.
  • Live Performances: Be amazed by special performances, adding a touch of glamour and excitement to the celebration.
  • Photo Opp: After the event, the stage will transform into the perfect photo moment
  • Red Envelope Surprise Giveaway: Bring your RSVP and check-into receive a Red Envelope! Lucky attendees will receive traditional red envelopes with special surprises inside, symbolizing good fortune and prosperity. Available while supplies last, 1 per family.
