A Gaithersburg man is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery scratch-off ticket from Convenient Beer and Wine at 8441 Snouffer School Road. Full story below courtesy the Maryland Lottery:
“A Gaithersburg player made his very first attempt to win with the new 200X The Cash scratch-off, which arrived in stores in December. In true beginner’s luck fashion, he came away with a $50,000 win on the $30 instant ticket.
The Montgomery County resident bought his lucky scratch-off at Convenient Beer and Wine located at 8441 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg. Later that day, he scratched off the instant ticket and revealed a “50X” symbol over a $1,000 prize. He won the first of the game’s six $50,000 prizes.
The retired security guard, who was very excited about his win, says that he plans to use his prize to help pay for college educations for his two grandchildren.”
