
Earlier today, the Rockville City Police Department conducted a coordinated traffic safety initiative on Veirs Mill Road and Rockville Pike.
Per the news release: The initiative was developed to increase overall traffic safety and pedestrian awareness in the City of Rockville.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit uses crash data, enforcement data and citizen complaints to determine where police resources should be deployed to reduce crashes. RCPD officers issued 23 traffic citations, 35 written warnings and 12 pedestrian safety brochures during today’s 4-hour initiative. Residents are encouraged to reach out to Sgt.
