A Montgomery Coynty resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning Bonus Match 5 lottery ticket at the Fenton Citgo (8333 Fenton Street) in Silver Spring. Full story below courtesy of the Maryland Lottery:

A Montgomery County woman who likes to play Lottery games is particularly fond of Racetrax and Bonus Match 5. After faithfully using a specific set of numbers for her Bonus Match 5 bets, she was surprised when her quick-pick ticket won the game’s $50,000 top prize.

The lucky lady bought her $2 ticket for the Feb. 13 drawing at Fenton Citgo in Silver Spring. She played Bonus Match 5 as she usually does, the only difference being that she let the terminal pick her digits instead of playing her usual set of numbers.”I was numb,” the winner said, recalling the moment she discovered that she won. “I finally got some money!” Afterward, she shared the great news with her husband of 35 years.Paying off bills and donating to charity are at the top of the to-do list for her Lottery winnings, she said. Meanwhile, Fenton Citgo also is in the money.

The business located at 8333 Fenton Street in Montgomery County collects a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket. Maryland has had seven $50,000 top-prize Bonus Match 5 winners this year.
