
The Maryland Lottery has announced that a $1,000,000 winning Powerball lottery ticket was sold for the March 18 drawing at a Maryland Royal Farms.
Per the news release: The lucky player bought the second-tier winning ticket at Royal Farms #003, which is located at 7204 York Road in North Baltimore. The winning numbers were 10, 17, 20, 39 and 44; the Powerball was 16 and the Power Play multiplier was x3. Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Players have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
For selling this ticket, the retailer earns a $2,500 bonus from the Lottery.
The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity of $687 million for the Wednesday, March 20 drawing with an estimated cash option of $327.3 million. This is the second Powerball jackpot to top $600 million in 2024. The jackpot was last hit for $842.4 million on New Year’s Day in Michigan.
Maryland is home to three Powerball jackpot wins: $731.1 million in January 2021 (Lonaconing, Allegany County); $128.8 million in December 2011 (Elkton, Cecil County) and $108.8 million in September 2011 (Abingdon, Harford County).
