One Person Shot Thursday Night in Rockville, Police Investigating

The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, June 20, at approximately 8:30pm.

Update by RCPD: On Thursday, June 20, 2024, shortly after 8:30 p.m. the Rockville City Police Department and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services responded to the area of Blandford St. and E. Argyle St. for a shooting. The first arriving units located an adult, male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen and rendered aid. The victim, 26, was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition. RCPD detectives are on the scene investigating the incident. Original report: According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, one person was shot along East Argyle Street, near Blanford Street and the Park Terrace Apartments. Responding officers aided the victim prior to EMS arrival.
Rockville City Police tweeted the following at 8:59pm: “The RCPD is on the scene of a confirmed shooting in the area of Blandford St. and Argyle St. There is a large police presence in the area. The public should avoid the area.”
