Permanent signage is up at Taco De Birria by Rice Bar at 14 Bureau Dr in the Diamond Square shopping center in Gaithersburg. The restaurant will be located in the space previously occupied by Rooh Bistro, which opened and closed in 2020.
Taco De Birria currently has an additional location at 1300 2nd St in Washington, DC. Menu items at the DC location include tacos (beef/res and chicken), burritos, quesadillas, and soups.
Birria tacos are traditionally made with meat that has been slow-cooked or braised and are served with a side of the cooking broth, known as “consomé,” for dipping.
