An incident involving a contractor bucket making contact with power lines has closed a portion of Ashton Road on Tuesday, July 9.
Montgomery County Police tweeted the following at 12:15pm: “TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Ashton Road is closed between New Hampshire Avenue and Ligon Lane. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays. #mcpd #mcpnews #traffic”
According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, “MCFRS is operating in the 200blk of Ashton Rd(Ashton) for a contractor bucket in the air making contact with power lines. The worker is still in the bucket and not visible to the ground crews. Pepco has been notified.”
