Update: Nine People (six adults, three children) Evaluated For Injuries Following Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-270

A multi-vehicle collision closed the northbound lanes of I-270 between Routes 121 and 109 on Friday evening.

According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, “units were dispatched to N270 between RT 121 and RT 109. Three cars (passenger car/SUV and a work van) were involved, causing a total of 9 people to be transported-6adults/3children. 1 adult transported as trauma with non critical injuries.”

The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security issued the following at 6:04pm: “Alert Montgomery –
Traffic incident closes Northbound I-270 between Routes 121 and 109. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
