Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at Prism Pl. in Gaithersburg on Saturday evening.
According to MCFRS Spokesperson David Pazos, crews were initially dispatched at 6:51pm on Saturday for an apartment fire on the terrace level. Crews forced entry into the apart net and extinguished a kitchen fire.
In a subsequent update, Pazos stated that crews located a kitchen fire on the terrace level with some extension and no injuries. The resident was alerted by webcam that there was a fire was in his apartment while he was at work. One dog and two were parakeets rescued.
