Permanent signage is now up at D1 Seafood Buffet & Bar (19961 Century Boulevard) in Germantown. The restaurant will occupy the space previously home to Sushi Legend Cajun Seafood and Bar, and before that, The Greene Turtle.
According to a representative, D1 Seafood Buffet is expected to open in about a month.
Sushi Legend closed in December 2023 after being open for less than a year. In early 2022, signage for “Four Seas Restaurant” was installed on the building, but the restaurant never opened. The Greene Turtle closed in the summer of 2020.
In other buffet news, Umi Hot Pot, Sushi & Seafood Buffet opened last month in Rockville and has been drawing huge crowds with waits often exceeding an hour for dinner service. The highly anticipated restaurant has taken the space that was recently home to Miller’s Ale House and previously home to Hooters and Shakey’s at 1471 Rockville Pike in Rockville.
