Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass has been appointed to the National Democratic County Officials’ (NCDO) board of directors, joining 30 officials nationwide with the goal of helping lead the organization in supporting and electing Democrats at the county level.
“I am honored to serve on the board of the National Democratic County Officials and to work with leaders from across Maryland and the country to elect more Democrats at the local level,” said Councilmember Glass in a press release. “It is imperative that county leaders support each other and their e4orts to promote public education, build needed infrastructure, protect our environment and secure our elections.”
According top the organization, NDCO represents and supports a diverse array of elected officials from over 3,000 county governments across the nation, including rural, urban, and suburban areas. The organization offers training and campaign support to help first-time officeholders and reelect incumbent Democrats. With NDCO’s assistance, Democrats can successfully run for county office in states throughout the country.
