A collision involving an overturned tractor-trailer and a fuel spill on the inner loop of I-495 between Old Georgetown Road and MD 355 (Rockville Pike) has blocked multiple lanes on Monday morning.
According to the the Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC), “UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Crash. I-495 EB (Inner Loop) before MD-355 (Exit 34). Montgomery County, MD. One right lane and one exit ramp lane remain blocked. Traffic gets by the scene using one left lane. Inner Loop delays begin near the I-270 Spur. An extended closure is expected.”
