Two Stabbed Sunday in Rockville

This evening, the Rockville City Police Department and Metro Transit Police responded to two separate stabbings near the Twinbrook Metro station, with both victims suffering non-life-threatening injuries

According to RCPD, “Shortly before 5:30 p.m. this evening, the RCPD responded to the Twinbrook Metro station for a stabbing. The adult, male victim had been approached by an unknown suspect and was stabbed. Metro Transit Police responded and are handling that investigation. A few minutes later, the RCPD responded to a separate call for a stabbing in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, near the metro station. An additional adult, male victim was found to have been stabbed in the back. Both victims have been transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as an African American male wearing all Black clothing and remains at large. Residents can expect a large law enforcement presence in the area, as the search for the suspect is ongoing. RCPD criminal investigators are on scene and coordinating investigative efforts with Metro Transit Police. Surveillance footage from the area is being collected and analyzed. The community is asked to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1 immediately.”
