Garage Fire in Bethesda Displaces Two Adults, Causes $100,000 in Damage

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire in the 6200blk of Perthshire Court in Bethesda on Thursday morning after a neighbor spotted smoke and called 911.

According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer,  upon arrival firefighters encountered smoke coming from the garage and assisted two adults out of the house. The fire, which was electrical in nature, was contained to the two-car attached garage and has been extinguished. One person was evaluated by emergency services, and no injuries were reported. The incident caused approximately $100,000 in damage, and two adults have been displaced.
