Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) and federal fire units responded to a building fire at the US Navy NSWC Carderock facility (9500 MacArthur Blvd) in Bethesda on Sunday, November 17.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, while the fire has been extinguished, smoke remains in the building, and crews are using an airboat for smoke removal, with all responders wearing respirators and following decontamination procedures as a precaution.
