A multi-vehicle collision, including a tractor-trailer, occurred on southbound I-270 between Montrose Road and the I-270 Spur around 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, one person was trapped and extricated from a passenger car by emergency responders and was transported with Priority 2 trauma. Some lanes remain blocked as of 4pm.
The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security issued the following alert at 3:04pm: “Traffic incident closes 3 right lanes on I-270 southbound prior to Tuckerman Ln. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
4:14pm Update: All lanes re-opened on I-270 southbound prior to Tuckerman Ln. Expect residual delays.
