Chef Ngee Kitchen Jollof Rice Drive Thru at 18523 N. Frederick Ave. in the Gaithersburg S.C. shopping center will hold its grand opening on Saturday, January 25. The restaurant will be offering customers 10% of their checks and free mocktails.
Chef Ngee will be located below the All African Food Store, in the space that was previously occupied by a bank. The restaurant will be begin its soft opening on Tuesday, January 21.
Jollof rice is a popular West African dish made with long-grain rice, tomatoes, chilies, onions, and spices.
Gaithersburg S.C. is home to Bruster’s Ice Cream, Corner Pizza, and Pho Nom Nom. The shopping center was also once home to Hechinger, the hardware store that once had over 130 locations in the Mid-Atlantic.
