Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to a fire in the basement of an end-of-row townhouse on Kingfisher Terrace in Gaithersburg on Monday night.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire, caused by a heat gun left unattended near toys, was quickly contained to the area of origin with no extension. Occupants were alerted by a working smoke alarm and evacuated safely.
