Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a kitchen fire in a three-story apartment building on North Frederick Ave in around 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was contained by a residential sprinkler system, but two apartments sustained water damage, displacing six residents. No injuries were reported.
