The Maryland-National Capital Park Police have arrested a juvenile and a 19-year-old male on firearm-related charges, including first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, following a non-contact shooting during a fight at Chase Avenue Urban Park on February 19, 2025.
The incident, which occurred around 10 am, prompted a lockdown at nearby Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School as a precaution.
According to Park Police, “Today, The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery County Division have arrested a juvenile for firearm-related charges stemming from a non-contact shooting that occurred during a fight on February 19, 2025, at Chase Avenue Urban Park at 4701 Chase Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland.
Investigators have also arrested Nicolas Paolo Blanco DOB 01/20/06 of Bethesda, Maryland for first degree assault, reckless endangerment, and firearm-related charges.
