Saul Quinn passed away from injuries sustained in a house fire at his Gaithersburg home on February 16. The community is raising funds through a GoFundMe campaign to support his family and cover expenses related to the loss of their home.
According to the GoFundMe, “It’s with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news that Saul Quinn has passed away. Saul was loyal to a fault, fiercely kind, and endlessly generous, he stood up for the defenseless and had a strength, both inside and out, that inspired everyone who knew him. Saul had a gruff exterior, but was a softy on the inside, at least for people he considered genuine. He had a wickedly sarcastic sense of humor even though he didn’t like most people. He was shockingly good at cooking and baking, making the most out of any ingredients, just another reflection of his huge heart. And then there was the beard, he really cherished his beard, it was like a lion’s mane. The phrase “I drink whiskey and know things” was a perfect match for Saul, we are fairly sure he had a t-shirt that said that. He also taught us that you “can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning”.
To know Saul was to love him, he was a longtime friend to so many of us, and his absence leaves a hole that simply can’t be filled. He will be deeply missed, but we’ll carry his laughter, his strength, and his unwavering friendship with us always. Rest easy, brother, we already miss you so much.”
“We wanted to take a moment to thank you for your generosity and support during this incredibly difficult time. With Saul’s passing, we remain committed to ensuring that donations continue to support Mike and Jason as they navigate the financial burdens associated with the loss of their mother, Denise, and their brother, Saul, as well as other expenses related to the loss of their home.
Your kindness and compassion have meant so much to them, and your contributions are making a meaningful difference in their lives. Thank you for standing with them through this heartbreaking journey.” https://www.gofundme.com/f/saul-calls-in-his-chits
