Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a vehicle and debris fire on Peachtree Road near Barnesville Road in Dickerson on Wednesday afternoon, where a Tesla battery reignited during property demolition.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the battery, previously involved in a house fire on November 11, 2024, went into thermal runaway, causing the fire. No injuries were reported, and all necessary notifications were made. A salvage company will handle the cleanup and removal of the vehicle and debris.
