Nando’s Offers Free Chicken to Federal Workers on National Employee Appreciation Day

Nando’s PERi PERi is offering free quarter-chicken and chips to all current and recently laid-off federal workers in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm in honor of National Employee Appreciation Day.

The promotion is valid at Nando’s DMV-area locations with proof of federal employment within the last six months, and is limited to one meal per guest while supplies last. Nando’s has Montgomery County locations in Gaithersburg, North Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Wheaton.

Per the news release: “In celebration of National Employee Appreciation Day (that’s a thing), Nando’s PERi-PERi will feed federal workers for free on Friday March 7”. No proof-of-life emails required. In a nod to the unappreciated federal workforce, all current and recently laid off federal workers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia can dash to Nando’s for a free quarter-chicken and chips (fries) from 2pm to 5pm Friday.

“We hope all federal workers in the DMV celebrate National Employee Appreciation Day with Nando’s on Friday, and enjoy our free flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken. This is our way of saying thanks to the folks who care for our veterans, keep planes safe in the skies, and do so many other unheralded jobs for the American people,” Nando’s said in a statement.

The Fine Print: Receive one free ¼ chicken (leg or breast) and regular side of chips for free with proof of federal employment, current or past within the last 6 months. Valid only on Friday March 7th, from 2 pm to 5 pm EST, at DMV-area Nando’s restaurants only (excluding Virginia Beach). This is a Nando’s “Dash,” so it’s one per guest while supplies last. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No substitutions. Dine-in and take-out only.”
