The City of Rockville Unveils New Branding Identity with “Rise Together” Motto

The City of Rockville has introduced a new branding identity, including a redesigned “R” logo, new colors and fonts, and a brand motto, “Rise Together,” aimed at fostering community unity.

The updated branding, approved by the Mayor and Council in July, will be officially revealed on March 17 and implemented across city media, departments, and outreach materials.

According to the City of Rockville: “On March 17, the city will reveal the new brand logos, marks, fonts and colors that will be found across city media, including on the city’s website, digital and social media, Rockville 11 and in outreach materials and other publications. Each city department will have their own color and department logo.

The new brand design comes with a new brand motto — “Rise Together” — that encourages the community to come together to continue to make the Rockville the best place to live, work and play.

Organized around the idea of “Everyone in all we do,” the city’s brand statement says, in part: “The City of Rockville is an aspirational and resilient organization of public servants that exists to foster open discourse, unparalleled quality of life and an inclusive community culture. Emboldened by a deep commitment to the growth, success and health of all residents, our unique brand of ‘dynamic diversity’ is not stagnant or singularly defined.”

The brand pillars are built the idea of dynamic diversity and include safety/trust, connectedness, creativity, innovation, freedom and empathy.”
