Tesla has closed its location at Westfield Montgomery Mall (7101 Democracy Blvd) in Bethesda.
The showroom was located on the mall’s lower level near Lululemon and Vineyard Vines, and served as a space where prospective buyers could explore Tesla’s electric vehicle lineup, learn about the brand’s technology, and place orders. Tesla has additional Montgomery County showrooms at 1300 Rockville Pike and 2320 Broadbirch Dr in Silver Spring.
In recent weeks, Tesla showrooms have been the site of protests against the company’s owner, Elon Musk, with demonstrations occurring at multiple locations, including the Rockville showroom. However, there have been no reports of protests at the now-closed Montgomery Mall location.
