Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a townhouse fire on Ambassador Drive in Germantown on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, smoke was initially reported in the building, prompting a large emergency response. Upon arrival, firefighters found flames coming from the third floor and began evacuating the building. Crews worked to extinguish the fire while checking for potential extension to other areas. Multiple units, including EMS and rescue teams, assisted at the scene.
Two adults and four children have been displaced and there were no injuries reported. Approximately 50 firefighters responded to the scene.
