Officers Locate and Reunite Missing Teen with Autism

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared on its social media channels that 3rd District officers located and safely reunited a missing teenager with autism and cognitive difficulties with his mother after he ran from their home on Monday, March 18.

According to MCPD, “On Monday, March 18, 3rd District officers responded to a residence to help a mother find her teenage son. The teen, who has autism & cognitive difficulties, was at home with his mother when he became upset & ran out of the house. His mother then called 911 to help find him.

Several officers searched the area and located the teenager in the woods, nearly a half mile from his home and reunited him with his mother.
