Dollar Tree Raises Prices

In 2021, Dollar Tree raised prices from $1 to $1.25 across all stores. In 2022, the chain introduced “Dollar Tree Plus” sections, offering items priced at $3 and $5, similar to Five Below.

Now, Dollar Tree is expanding price increases on select items throughout its stores, with prices rising to $1.50 and $1.75 on items like ramen noodles and soda. According to Yahoo Finance, Dollar Tree has introduced three pricing models—Dollar Tree 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0—with items now ranging from $1.25 to $7. The 1.0 stores primarily maintain the $1.25 pricing, while 2.0 locations feature a single aisle with varied price points. The 3.0 model expands variable pricing throughout the store from $1.25 to $7.

The chain has locations in Montgomery County, including Damascus, Derwood, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Montgomery Village, Rockville, Silver Spring, and Wheaton.
