New: Del Mar Latin Food
Del Mar Latin Food is now open at 18058 Mateny Road in the Cloppers Mill Village shopping center in Germantown, taking over the space formerly occupied by La Casita, which closed in July 2023. The restaurant serves “authentic Latin cuisine with a modern twist,” offering dishes like carne asada, fajitas, pupusas, tacos, tortas, ribs, and a variety of seafood, along with desserts such as churros, flan, bread pudding, and freshly made juices. Del Mar is owned by the same team behind nearby El Rey Deli Market at 13531 Clopper Road in Germantown.
New: Dumpling District:
Dumpling District is is now open at 19775 Frederick Rd in the Fox Chapel Shopping Center. The restaurant has opened in the space that was most recently home to Bonchon.
Dumpling District has seven locations across the DMV with more coming soon. Currently, the restaurant’s only Montgomery County location is in Wheaton (12009 Georgia Ave. inside of Luna Hall), but additional restaurants are planned for Rockville (in the upcoming Luna Hall) and a currently undisclosed location in Bethesda. The Germantown location is a full-service location and offers table service as well as takeout. The restaurant’s standout offering is the Rainbow Soup Dumplings, featuring a vibrant assortment of six freshly made dumplings, each bursting with unique flavors: classic pork, spicy mala pork, crab and pork, chicken, shrimp with zucchini, and pork infused with black truffle.
Coming Soon: EZEE Laundromat
EZEE Laundromat is expected to open on May 1st at 19749 Frederick Rd in the Fox Chapel Shopping Center Germantown, next to India Palace Restaurant. This facility is a full service Laundromat with Self Service, Wash and Fold and Pickup Delivery Services offered with brand new machines.
New: Ledo Pizza Corner Shoppe
Ledo Pizza has continued to expand its presence in Montgomery County with the opening of a new Corner Shoppe at Giant Food Kingsview Village Center, located at 18331 Leaman Farm Rd. in Germantown. This new location is serviced by Ledo Pizza Germantown, situated nearby at 12619-b Wisteria Dr. in the Germantown Square shopping center. In 2023, Ledo Pizza debuted its first “Ledo Pizza Corner Shoppe” inside a Giant Food store at 1649 Crofton Center in Crofton, MD, in Anne Arundel County. The Corner Shoppe concept offers both hot pizzas ready to eat and take-and-bake options, allowing customers to bring home a refrigerated pizza to bake at their convenience.
Coming Soon: Miniso
Miniso, a Japanese themed novelty store, is scheduled to open at 19721 Frederick Rd in the Fox Chapel Shopping Center. Miniso is a “Japan-based, designer brand that places value on their quality, simplistic design, and low price. The global brand operates in over 40 countries, and has over 1,800 stores across the globe. Following their fast-fashion style, the company also launches new products every week – keeping up with trends. Miniso uniquely combines fashion and simplistic lifestyle to give quality products at affordable price.” Miniso has an additional location at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda.
Smoothie King is now open at 20630 Seneca Meadows Parkway at the Shops at Seneca Meadows development (where Wegmans is located) in Germantown. Smoothie King is located in part of the space that was previously home to DaMarco The Italian Place, with F45 Training occupying the other portion of the space. Smoothie King has locations in Bethesda, two in Rockville, and one in Olney.
Germantown Flea Market
The Germantown Flea Market at the MARC rail commuter lot at the intersection of Germantown Rd. (Rt. 118) and Bowman Mill Drive has returned for the 2025 season. The markets take place on the first Saturday of the month from April through November.

The Germantown Community Flea Markets are held on the first Saturday of the month from April through November. There are 50 to 150 vendors depending on the weather. Everything from household goods to antiques, to jewelry and electronics. The markets are held from 8am to 1pm at the Germantown MARC Commuter lot at Germantown Road and Bowman Mill Drive.
