Tequila Rimari, a new brand founded by a Montgomery County couple who met while working at Target in Germantown, recently received Silver Medals at both the 2025 Denver International Spirits Competition and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, prior to its official launch.
The tequila is produced at Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados (NOM 1414), a family-owned distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, using a fermentation process that incorporates sake yeast and wild yeast from local fruit trees, resulting in a distinctive flavor profile with notes of tropical fruit, herbal agave, and a floral finish.
Owner Dheeraj Naidu shared, “Tequila Rimari is more than just a new tequila brand—it’s a story rooted in love, community, and passion. After moving from India, I met my now-wife while we were both working at Target in Germantown. We fell in love, got married, and chose Montgomery County as our forever home. It’s where we built our lives and now, our dream business.”
The brand emphasizes sustainability, using labels made from recycled agave fiber to help reduce environmental impact.
Tequila Rimari is currently awaiting its Maryland license ahead of distribution.
