The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has announced its Memorial Day schedule for Monday, May 26, with most services operating on a Sunday or holiday schedule, some routes suspended, free parking at public garages and meters, and no MARC or most MTA Commuter Bus service.
Per MCDOT: Below is the transportation-related holiday schedule for Memorial Day, Monday, May 26.
- County offices – Will be closed.
- Ride On bus service – Will operate on a Sunday schedule. For routes that operate on Sunday, a Sunday schedule is provided.
- Ride On extRa Pink and Lime routes – Will operate on a Sunday schedule (every 30 minutes).
- Ride On Flash bus service – Will operate on a Weekend/Holiday schedule (Orange Route only). The Blue Route (typically, weekday only) will not be in service.
- TRiPS Commuter Store at Silver Spring Transit Center – Will be open 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
- TRiPS Mobile Commuter Store - Will be closed.
- Parking at Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton public garages, lots and curbside meters – Will be free.
- Metrorail service – Will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule from 7 a.m. to midnight. View timetables at wmata.com/schedules/timetables.
