The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident in which a 22-year-old Gaithersburg man was critically injured after being struck by a bronze-colored vehicle while walking on Dorsey Road near Aviation Boulevard in Hanover, MD in the early hours of June 21, 2025.
According to police, “On June 21, 2025, at 2:04 a.m., officers responded to Dorsey Road and Aviation Boulevard for a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown bronze colored vehicle traveling westbound on Dorsey Road near Aviation Boulevard (Route 170) struck a 22-year-old male who was walking in the westbound lanes of Dorsey Road.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian failed to remain at the scene. The Crash Reconstruction Team responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department transported the pedestrian to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where he remains in critical condition.
