Cat Rescued from Car Engine in Extreme Heat

A coordinated effort involving Montgomery County Fire & Rescue (MCFRS FS715 Burtonsville), Montgomery County Police, and Animal Services led to the successful rescue of a cat trapped in a car engine during extreme heat.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the operation, described as a technical rescue, took place in a busy parking lot with assistance from rescue volunteer Liza Kudel and Home of Their Own Rescue.
